"Kind of disappointed with the camera"
I was expecting a lot more for the price. The camera quality is, like, disappointing overall. Most of the photos come out kind of soft or washed out, and the birds end up blurry a lot of the time, which is really frustrating. I mean, it’s not totally unusable, but yeah, I definitely thought it would be way better.

"Fun little bird cam, but the alerts can be flaky"
I do like using my Bird Buddy, and when it’s working right the photos are really fun. It’s cool to check in and see who stopped by during the day. I still remember one weird detail from a photo where a bird had one tiny feather sticking straight up on its head like a little cowlick, which made me laugh. That said, the notifications haven’t been super reliable for me. Sometimes they show up way too late, sometimes not at all, and then I open the app and realize I missed a visit. Other times I get an alert and there’s basically nothing happening. It’s not a bad product, and I still enjoy it, but if you’re buying it mostly for live alerts, it can be a bit frustrating. Hopefully they improve that part

"Surprisingly solid after being let down before"
After buying a few products lately that felt cheap and didn’t hold up, I didn’t have much trust left. But this one actually feels sturdy in the hand, with no flimsy plastic vibe at all. It seems well built, which was a nice surprise

"Ended Up Being Totally Worth It"
I’ll admit, I hesitated for a while before buying it because the price isn’t exactly cheap. But after setting it up and watching the first few birds show up, I pretty much forgot all about that. The camera is clear, the app was simple enough to figure out, and now checking in on the birds has become this little daily routine I didn’t know I needed. It’s kind of addictive seeing them up close and catching all the little details you’d normally miss. For what it does and how much I’ve enjoyed it, I’d say it’s been a really good value.

I set this up recently and it seems to be working well so far. I’m still waiting for more birds to discover it, but I’m hopeful that once they do, it’ll get a lot more activity.

"Pretty good at keeping the squirrels off"
I mainly got Bird Buddy because the squirrels were constantly getting into everything, and it’s helped a lot. The perch and whole setup make it way harder for them to hang on, which is exactly what I needed. One stubborn squirrel still manages to mess with it now and then... so it’s not perfect. But there’s way less spilled seed, and I’m not out there chasing them off all the time anymore. Solid 4 stars from me

"I was disappointed that I…"
I was disappointed that I had to return my Bird Buddy after it stopped charging. I really wanted it to work out. The return process itself was easy enough to understand, but the warranty emails took longer than I expected, and I ended up having to follow up twice. They did get everything sorted in the end, so I can’t say it was a terrible experience. I just wish it had gone a lot more smoothly

"Helpful support, but I expected a quicker reply"
I had to reach out to support about an issue with my Bird Buddy. They were friendly and did help once they got back to me, but it took a few days and I ended up having to follow up. Overall it wasn’t a bad experience, I just expected the response time to be faster.

"I like the sharing idea, but it feels a bit clunky"
I’ve used the clip sharing a few times, and when it works, it’s handy. But I’ve also had links fail on me or take way too long to load, which gets annoying fast. I do think the feature is a good idea overall, but from my experience, it still needs a little more polish...

"I really like the feeder itself and…"
I really like the feeder itself and it’s fun to use, but am I missing something with the app? It feels slow at times, and some of the menus are a little confusing to figure out. Photos also don’t always load right away, which can be annoying. It works fine most days, but the app definitely feels like it still needs a bit of polishing.

I’m happy with it so far. It looks nice and the sound quality is great for what I needed. If you’re checking reviews before buying, I’d say it’s worth considering, especially if you want something that’s easy to enjoy right away without a lot of fuss.

I wasn’t totally sure about paying for the subscription at first, but it’s been worth it for me. The extra features make checking out the birds more fun and I end up using it almost every day. Price feels fair for what you get too

"Great idea, but the refilling takes away from it"
I really wanted to like this because the concept makes sense, and when it’s working, it feels like it should make things easier. But the seed tray runs out way too fast, and opening it up to refill is more fiddly than I expected. After a while, I felt like I was spending more time messing with it than actually enjoying the convenience. It reminded me that a clever design still has to be easy to live with day to day.

"I was excited for my Bird Buddy…"
I was excited for my Bird Buddy. But the shipping part? Not great. The delivery date kept changing. No real explanation. Tracking didn’t help much either. It just sat there for days with nothing new, then suddenly updated out of nowhere. I kept having to check it myself. It did finally show up, so that’s good. But the waiting kind of killed some of the excitement. For the price, I expected the delivery process to be a lot smoother.

"Doesn’t keep it charged like I expected"
I feel a bit misled by this. I thought the panel would keep it charged without much hassle, but it never really does. I’m constantly having to check on it or recharge it another way, which kind of defeats the whole point for me.

"It took me longer to get everything set…"
It took me longer to get everything set up than I thought it would. The app did connect after a few tries, and the instructions were mostly fine, but a couple parts were kind of confusing. It’s working now though, so overall not bad. Anyway

"Started leaking after one heavy rain"
I’m a bit confused because it seemed fine at first, but after the first heavy rain, it started leaking. I wasn’t expecting that to happen so soon, so I’m not really sure if I got a faulty one or if it just doesn’t hold up well in bad weather...

"I really wanted to like this feeder because…"
I really wanted to like this feeder because it does look cute, but using it has been kind of a hassle. The seed gets stuck in random little spots, and cleaning it takes way longer than it should. The perch also seems awkward for smaller birds, so they don’t seem to love it either. For the price, I expected it to be a lot more practical. Not very happy with it
